Ecological Education Centers

To promote concepts and actions related to nature conservation, eight Ecological Education Centers have been systematically established near protected areas in Taiwan. They serve as a medium for helping the population to gain a deeper understanding of country’s natural environment, as well as a platform for implementing local conservation work. Visitors are invited to learn how precious and fragile Taiwan’s protected areas are, and the biodiversity contained within these areas, through exhibitions, guided tours and educational events. As a result, it is hoped that people will adopt concrete, realistic, and feasible actions in their daily lives to protect the environment.
