Branch Office Overview The Aerial Survey and Remote Sensing Branch is committed to acquiring nationwide aerial imagery and producing cartographic products. It builds high-precision and frequently updated geospatial datasets to monitor land-use changes. These datasets are widely applied in forestry development, nature conservation, environmental monitoring, land-use planning, agricultural and forestry management, urban planning, economic development, disaster prevention and response, as well as academic research. The Branch also promotes the application of remote-sensing images and provides professional training. Through stereoscopic interpretation of aerial imagery, it supports forest-type identification, forest land classification, and detailed assessments of disaster-affected areas such as landslides, fire scars, and pest outbreaks. These analyses serve as essential references for forest management and natural resource governance.
