National Forest Recreation Area

Catering to our citizens’ leisure and entertainment needs, since 1965 the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency has been developing forest recreation sites. Based on each region’s available resources, the Bureau successively established 19 forest recreation areas to provide the masses with relaxation and travel. The northern forest recreation areas include Manyueyuan, Neidong, Dongyanshan, Guanwu, and Taipingshan. The central part include Wuling, Hehuanshan, Dasyueshan, Basianshan and Aowanda. The southern ones include: Alishan, Tengjhih, Shuangliou and Kenting. The eastern areas include Chihnan, Fuyuan, Siangyang and Jhihben.
