Introduction

The Secret Garden of the City: Luodong Forestry Culture Park The Park used to be the vital lumber transfer hub of Taipingshan Forest Station. Wufen Train Rail (the half-gauge train rail) and Jhulin Station were constructed beside the log pond for ease of transportation. Forestry-related communities emerged and developed nearby as a result. The Park was officially registered as a cultural landscape according to the Cultural Heritage Preservation Act in 2012. Trail of Tallow Trees with Fragrance of Woodchips A trail amid the tallow trees with the fragrance of woodchips welcomes the tourists at the northern entrance of the Park. Whether it is rainy or sunny, a walk on the trail always feels refreshing. Facilities in the Park include the Ecological Pool (Log Pond), Aquatic Plant Pool, Aquatic Plant Exhibition, Steam Locomotive Exhibition, Forest Railway, and Pond Trail. Combined with functions of leisure, education, and culture, it is a fine site for ecological observation.

Service Hours	The park: 08:00 to 17:00 ・No reservation is required to enter the park. Please enter and exit from the Xinyi Road entrance on the south side of the park. ・The opening hours of the forestry exhibition halls in the park are 9:00-12:00 in the morning and 13:30-17:00 in the afternoon, and dynamic crowd control is implemented at 20 people per hall. ★ Closing time of each forestry exhibition hall: -Monday to Tuesday: Forest Products Hall, Forest Animal Hall, Forest Farm Kids House, Forest Story -Wednesday to Thursday: Forestry Hall and Forest Railway Hall -Indoor exhibition halls will be closed on New Year’s Eve and the first day of the Lunar New Year ★Guided tour times for each forestry exhibition hall: - Scheduled guided tours: 09:30, 14:30 (Zhulin Station); 10:30, 15:30 (Visitor Center). - Scheduled guided tours at 10:00 and 15:00 at the Forest Products Museum. - Scheduled guided tours at 10:30 and 15:30 at the Forest Life Museum. - Scheduled guided tours at 11:30 and 14:00 at the Zoo. - Scheduled guided tours at 11:00 and 16:00 at the Forest and Railway Museum. -Shumin Seed House accepts group reservations for admission from Monday to Friday; it is open from 09:00-12:00 and 13:30-17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays without reservation. ★The operating hours of the museums that serve park visitors and provide park souvenirs, light meals and drinks are as follows: -The lumber store is open from 09:00 to 18:00 every day and is closed on Wednesdays. - Muyu Forest Museum (Zhiyin Cultural and Creative), Forest Art Museum 1, and Forest Art Museum 2 (Yimei Jisheng) are open from 09:00 to 17:00 every day, and flexible adjustments are made in case of special circumstances.
