Sungluo Trail

The Songluo Trail is located at the Syanox Settlement of the Atayal Tribe in Datong Township, Yilang County. The settlement is at the 98km mark of the Northern Cross-island Highway (Provincial Highway 7). At the entrance is a sculpture of an Atayal warrior and a weaving woman. The trail runs along the Songluo Creek. The sheltering forest and lush epiphytes nurtured by the creek water are the greatest features. A round trip takes around 2 hours. The trail is straight except the three loop sections that form three Ps linking together. Visitors can start by taking the right path along the creek and make the return trip along the mountain side to experience totally different scenery.
