Maosing Reminiscent Trail

The Maoxing Reminiscent Trail begins from the platform of the Bong Bong Train Maoxing Station. It was built along the old Bong Bong Train track. The climb is gentle and there are several rest stops and guiding signs along the trail. The old lumber transportation track constructed during the Japanese Rule meanders through Taiwan red cypress, Taiwan yellow cedar and Japanese cedar forests. Both sides of the trail are covered with short trees able to survive in damp and shady environments, ferns and ground cover plants. While traveling through the woods, around mountain walls and past mountain streams, visitors can see old simple rails and workers’ dwellings that have witnessed the glorious days when lumber production was abundant in Taiping Mountain.
