The Jianqing Historic Trail was rebuilt from part of the Jianqing Line Lumber Transportation Track. The entrance is at the 23km mark of Taipingshan Yizhuan First Line. On a sunny day, one can see the Lanyang Plain and the lofty peaks along the Holy Ridgeline in the distance. Seas of clouds beautiful like poetry can often be seen in the afternoon. Sometimes, after being caught in the fog for a long while, one can’t help but long for the sun. That is where the name “Jianqing (seeing the sun)” comes from. The Jianqing Line Lumber Transportation Track was about 5.5km originally. The trail runs along the winding track. Walking on the flat and smooth trail, one has an unhindered view of the surroundings and also can see the old rails, skids, trolley axles and deserted workers’ dwellings.
