The trail is located in the Jiuzhize Scenic Area in the Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area across the Duowang Creek from the Jiuzhize Hot Springs. The hot springs can be accessed by crossing the Jiuze Bridge. A walk on the 2km trail back and forth takes about 2 hours. The mild climate and ample rainwater have created diverse ecological environments. There are well-designed rest facilities along the way. The marshland has taken form as a result of the surrounding mountains and the Duowang Creek. It is a habitat for many different kinds of birds that are constantly chirping, and that is where the name Jiuzhize (marshland of birds) comes from.
