Dongman Trail

This hiking trail is between the Dongyanshan National Forest Recreation Area and the Manyueyuan National Forest Recreation Area. It begins from the end of Dongyanshan Forest Road at 870m above sea level, crosses Anbu, between Beichatian Mountain and Dongyan Mountain, at 1,130 above sea level, and runs down to the Manyueyuan Waterfall Area at 50m above sea level. The trail was built by connecting old trolley tracks and skidways to the hiking trail from Manyueyuan to Beichatian Mountain. The area is a mid-altitude Machilus-Castanopsis forest zone of evergreen broadleaf trees. On the way, visitors can see conifer and broadleaf trees mingling together. They provide the habitat from a large variety of birds and insects. Plus, there are also cloud falls, mountain streams, waterfalls and other natural spectacles. It is a hiking trail suitable for all seasons in northern Taiwan.
