Niaozuishan is on the south shore of the Wenshui Creek. The formation looks like a giant eagle, the foothills like the wings and the peak like the beak; therefore, it was given the name (literally meaning Bird’s Beak Mountain). Together with Henglongshan (Dragon Mountain) and Huzishan (Tiger Mountain) nearby, the three mountains resemble respectively a phoenix, a dragon and a tiger. Hence, they are referred to as the Shuiiyun Three Stars. Because of the special geological structure and the terrain, the 2km walk up Niaozui Mountain is an 837m climb above sea level. The trail is steep and tough to walk. Along the way are mostly fir plantations and broadleaf forests. The view from the top is excellent. Jiali Mountain, Hakanni Mountain, Henglong Mountain and Huzi Mountain can be seen clearly.
