Mt. Pojinjia Trail

Pojinjia Mountain is the fourth tallest among the Seven Heroes of Guguan and the Pojinjia Trail is on the north shore of the Dajia River. It used to be Taipower’s line maintenance road. Old wooden utility poles and fastening steel cables can still be seen lying along the forest path. Accordingly, the name Pojinjia comes from Taiwanese “po jin gia, meaning “the slope is really steep” which many hikers would say when walking up the precipitous trail. The altitude difference is about 1,000m. It is a climb almost all the way and a round trip takes about 7 to 8 hours.
