Tashan Trail

“Without climbing Tashan, one does not know the magnificence of Ali Mountain.” The trailhead is located by the beautiful Jiemei Lake. The outbound journey is up the hill and inbound trip down the hill. A round trip takes about 5 hours. The trail passes by a Taiwan cypress forest and,from the overpass visitors can see the Zhushan Line train winding by. The end of the trail is the summit of Tashan from where one can see the entire Ali Mountain Forest Recreation Area, the peaks of Jade Mountain and the ridge of the Central Mountain Range in the distance, and changeful cloud falls and seas of clouds.
