Ruili-Taihe Historical Trail

The Ruitai Ancient Trail runs through a moso bamboo forest and a virgin broadleaf forest that nurture a lot of plants and animals. The scenery changes in different seasons when plum, peach and cherry trees blossom. During the firefly breeding season each year, the trail is the most fascinating. Visitors taking the trail can also see the Couple Tree, giant stout camphor trees hundreds of years old, the Echo Valley, the cow pen surrounded with mud walls that bespeak the wisdom of the pioneers and fabulous misty mountains.
