Dadong Mountain stands at 1,241m above sea level. The formation is majestic and the cliffs on the west side are magnificent. It is the highest mountain in Tainan City and one of the Top 100 Lower Mountains in Taiwan. Along the trail are low-altitude broadleaf forests. The warm and humid climate allows the plants to grow lush and big. Baihe, the Luliao Reservoir and Renyi Lake and the Lantan Reservoir in Chiayi County can be seen in the distance. The view from the top of the mountain is far and wide. The hot spring area in Guanziling and the vast Chiayi-Tainan Plain are clearly visible.
