Jiujiu Peak Forest Trail

Jiujiu Peak, which is composed of many sharp independent peaks, is also known as "Jiujiujian Mountain" and "Huoyan Mountain". It is named after the jumping flames from a distance. The unique geological landscape of the area is known as the "Three Major Huoyan Mountain Terrains in Taiwan" together with Miaoli Sanyi Huoyan Mountain and Kaohsiung Liugui Shiba Luohan Mountain. It is also the first scenic spot in the Caotun area of Nantou.

The trail has two entrances at the north and south ends. The south end is a wooden plank road, and the north end is a cement industrial road that can be circled. The trail winds up along the ridgeline, with tall trees along the way. In the open area, you can see the Taichung Wufeng, Nantou Caotun Pinglinli, Shuangdongli, Wuxi and other landscapes and the traffic on National Highway No. 6. The view of the entire "Jiujiu Peak Nature Reserve" connected by peaks in the pavilion on the top of the mountain is breathtaking. You can visit the nearby Jiujiu Peak Ecological Art Park Exhibition Hall and Yuxiu Art Museum to appreciate the rich works of artists.
