The Fenqihu—Xiaonan Mother Tree Forest Trail is in Zhuqi Township, Chiayi County. It is about 1,400m above sea level. The trees in the forest are mostly hundred-year-old Taiwan incense cedar trees. The luxuriant foliage provides a peaceful environment. The Chiayi Forest Administration made efforts to provide comprehensive services and built a 100m boardwalk to connect to the Xiaonan Trail and also constructed three observation decks. The boardwalk and decks were raised to prevent damage to the existing ecological environment. They allow visitors to enjoy the peace and calm in the Taiwan incense cedar forest.
