Longci Niupu Badlands Nature Reserve

Longqi Niupu Badlands Nature Reserves is a rare mudstone badlands area in Southern Taiwan, showcasing unique terrain, known for its sparse vegetation due to easily eroded, salt-rich soil that expands with water, forming intricate landforms like 'Moon Woeld' with V-shaped valleys; this precious landscape, with both mudstone and some conglomerate features, was designated a Nature Reserve in July 2021 for its significant geological and ecological value, protecting it from development, as highlighted by its rich biodiversity of deer, pangolins, and birds, despite the challenging soil.
