Guanyin Coast Major Wildlife Habitat

It is located between Nan'ao and Gufeng Graben where coastal cliff is up to 920m high, coastal caves is 10m inside, and the sandy beach is 7 km long. The beach width ranges from 1,500m in the south. the coastal line was the only path to eastern Taiwan as Qing army arrived and they hid in coastal caves to avoid indigenous people. The geography is unstable as cliff breaks into colluvium and ocean weathers rocks into caves. Main vegetation is herbaceous species, Boehmeria macrophylla, Coriaria intermedia, Miscanthus floridulus - Debregeasia orientalis, and Arundo formosana associates. One also can find pioneer trees, Alnus formosana, Machilus japonica, and Lauraceae family.
