Location	Inside Dongshi Farm of Dongshi Township, Chiayi County. The eastern boundary is near the No. 2 channel of Dongshi Farm. The boundaries to the West, South, and North sides are flood prevention roads. They include the following Aogu Sections in Dongshi Township, Chiayi County: 464~467, 468-11~468-12, 643~650-1, 651~654, 674~675, 677~682, 701~704, 706~706-1, 707~734, 736~769-1, 770, 772, 774~775, 797~798, 800, 828~896, 921, 958, 973, 1049, 1077~1146-1, 1147~1149, 1151~1156, 1159~1161-1, 1162~1164, 1171~1173, 1180~1185, 1197~1221, 1227~1246, for a total of 317 pieces of land (with No. 464, 466~467, 468-11~468-12, 643, 649~650-1, 652, 654, 674, 674~675, 677~682, 775, 797~798, 800, 896, 921, 958, 973, 1049, 1077~1078, 1149, 1151, 1164, 1173, and 1182~1185, only parts of the land were included)

Winter is the lively time of the year here: cormorants, northern shovelers, northern pintails and little egrets can all be seen. This is an important area for migratory birds and waterfowls in the southwest of Taiwan, hence making it a famous bird-watching destination. In the 1960s, Taiwan Sugar reclaimed land from the sea for agricultural and aquacultural uses, but due to subsidence and salinization, the wetland has gradually become natural again. The Aogu Wetland is near the Caisancho Island, so when the tide is high, various bird species come from the Island to here foraging and perching. 221 bird species have been documented on this wetland, accounting for half of the number recorded all over Taiwan. Conservation species here include black-winged kite, little tern and black-faced spoonbill. Migratory birds coming here for winter are the most numerous, especially heron, anseriformes, sandpiper and charadriidae.
