Building on the century-long cultural history and development of the Alishan Forest Railway, the Great Alisan Historical Corridor Centennial Advancement Construction Plan coordinates with relevant agencies in the Alishan region across multiple dimensions including forestry, transportation, indigenous communities, industry, trail systems, rural regeneration , and regional revitalization. Guided by the vision of “cultural preservation, local experiences, shared prosperity and inclusivity, and sustainable management,” it brings together related ministries to jointly shape the greater Alishan area into one of Taiwan’s most treasured mountain landscapes. Through the development of key nodes along the Alishan Forest Railway and its corridor, the plan aims to integrate regional railways and transportation networks, reconnect recreational networks, and establish an international-level tourism destination, thereby driving the development of local communities.
