The Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency (FANCA), together with local Taiwanese design brands, launched a new version of work uniforms based on the core vision of “Sustainable Forestry, Ecological Taiwan.” The uniforms combine outdoor functionality, design aesthetics, and environmental sustainability. The official launch of the uniforms today (06/01) allows frontline service staff of the National Forest Recreation Areas to greet visitors with a new look that is both more comfortable and distinct.100% Made in Taiwan: Combining Mountain Forest Functionality and Aesthetics The FANCA stated that the planning and production of the new work uniforms spanned nearly a year and a half. From design and fabric development to production, the entire process was completed in collaboration with Taiwanese manufacturer oqLiq Enterprise Co., Ltd., showcasing the strength of local industries and putting into practice the concept of supporting “Made in Taiwan.” In terms of design, the team ingeniously incorporated the curved lines and color elements of the FANCA’s logo, reinterpreting the concepts of sustainable forest management and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The spring/summer uniform and all-season jacket feature the low-saturation blue-green tones of the logo, creating a look that blends naturally with the forest landscape. The autumn and winter uniform showcases a calm forest green base, paired with a warm-hued winter jacket, adding a splash of warmth and vitality to the mountains and forests, while also enhancing the visibility of the service staff. Considering the unpredictable weather in mountainous areas and on-site operational needs, the outdoor functionalities of the updated work uniform have also been fully upgraded. They now feature moisture-wicking, quick-drying, wear-resistant, and water-repellent fabrics, with design optimization on details such as pockets, zippers, and hood brims to balance practicality and user comfort.Oyster Shells and Recycled PET Bottles Transformed into Fabric, Embodying the Concept of Sustainability This redesign is not just about updating the uniforms, it also incorporates the concept of environmental sustainability into every detail. Oyster shell yarn is included in the fabric for the spring/summer and autumn/winter tops, where recycling technology is applied to transform oyster shells and recycled PET bottles into high-value-added fibers. This not only reduces marine waste but also gives the garments antibacterial and antistatic properties. The spring/summer tops also use Lyocell fibers, which are derived from wood pulp, creating garments that are soft, skin-friendly, breathable and cool, and environmentally friendly. The polyester yarns used in the all-season jackets and winter jackets are also made from recyclable materials, reducing environmental burden and ensuring that the concept of sustainability is truly implemented in daily operations.A New Look to Welcome Every Visitor with Even More Warmth From design details to material selection, the new uniforms are not just an upgrade in service image, but also symbolize the importance placed on forests, the environment, and the visitor experience.
