Based on the century-old cultural history and construction of the Alishan Railway, relevant organizations in Alishan jointly initiated discussions on forestry, transportation, tribes, industries, trails, rural regeneration, regional revitalization etc. Under the vision of "Culture Preservation, Local Experience, Shared Prosperity and Sustainable Management," the agency will work with relevant ministries and committees to shape the greater Alishan area into a Taiwan forest treasure. Through the Alishan Forestry Railway and axis belt highlights, regional rail and transportation networks will be connected and the recreational network will be linked together to create an international-level recreational scenic area and promote the development of local settlements.
