Ci-lan Major Wildlife Habitat is known for giant falsecypress trees. The conservation area is extending from 200m (656 feet) to 3,535m (11,598 ft) with inherited weather and ecological complexity. It rains ~3,000 mm almost in ~200 days of a year: most of them from typhoons and some from fog or drizzle during winter monsoon. Taiwan Hinoki Falsecypress is the dominant species with associates: Taxus sumatrana , Taiwania cryptomerioides , Cunninghamia lanceolata , and Cephalotaxus wilsoniana of which are the most important native species due to islandic evolution of vicariance. Good conservation work makes many wild animal's lives in this area have a little more vitality. Rare needles woods is a paradise for many rare wildlives.
