From July 15th, 2020 to the end of 2020, the Forestry Bureau is offering citizens and foreigners with residence permits a one-time free admission to any one of the 12 National Forest Recreation Areas, including Taipingshan, Neidong, Manyueyuan, Dongyanshan, Dasyueshan, Basianshan, Aowanda, Alishan, Kenting, Shuangliu, Jhihben, and Chihnan. We welcome you to bring your entire family! Citizens should present their original ID card at the ticket window of the park. Children without an ID card can use their National Health Insurance card or other documents that can prove their identity. Foreigners may enter the park after presenting their original residence permit, which will be registered by the ticketing clerk. Visitors who have driven to the areas will still be required to pay parking fees. According to the Forestry Bureau, the biological activity of phytoncide in the forests can boost the human immune system. In response to the slowdown of the pandemic, the Forestry Bureau is offering free admission to the parks to encourage people to go into nature and relax both body and mind. Visitors are welcome to experience the forests to help improve their overall health.
