Forest Management Division

  1. Administration of cadastral registration and land record management of state-owned forest compartment land, and review of cases involving the leasing of state-owned forest land, as part of forest management operations.
  2. Handling of illegal land reclamation and illegal logging cases on state-owned forest compartment land, as well as forest fire prevention, emergency response and disaster relief operations, as part of forest protection operations.
  3. Implementation of affairs related to protection forests’ inspection, review, and management.
  4. Handling of the Agency’s external public relations, and the collection, compilation, editing and production of forestry promotion materials, as well as the planning and implementation of Tree Planting Month and other forestry promotion activities.

Forestlands Management Section

Division affairs

  1. Coordination of cadastral surveying, land registration, and leased land surveying plans for state-owned forest land.
  2. Review of plans for the leasing or allocation of state-owned forests.
  3. Review of plans for the leasing or allocation of state-owned forests.
  4. Implementation of compensation and reclamation plans for leased state-owned forest land designated for afforestation.
  5. Supervision of the handling of cases involving violations of afforestation lease contracts and related regulations.
  6. Promotion and implementation of the “Follow Up Plan for the Temporary Leasing of State-Owned Forest Land for Construction Land, Paddy Fields and Dry Farmland after Declassification from Forest Land.”
  7. Review of applications for permitted use and land use reclassification of forestry land.
  8. Handling of cases where leased afforestation land has not yet completed afforestation.
  9. Handling of matters related to the expansion and designation of Indigenous reserve lands.
  10. Planning, development and promotion of the forestry administration business management system.

Forest Protection Section

  1. Planning, formulation and revision of forest protection related policies and operational programs.
  2. Revision, formulation and consultation of forest protection laws, regulations and administrative rules.
  3. Formulation, revision and handling of forest fire prevention and disaster response operational plans, and related policy promotion.
  4. Proposal of handling principles for illegal land reclamation cases, case handling, and disposal of encroachment on state owned public land.
  5. Proposal of handling principles for cases involving theft of primary and secondary forest products, case handling, and formulation of prevention policies.
  6. Installation and decommissioning of forest protection facilities and equipment.
  7. Inspection of logged sites, inspection of forest product transportation, and official marking operations.
  8. Proposal and implementation of programs integrating community participation to strengthen forest protection efforts.
  9. Execution of special task force operations for forest patrol missions.
  10. Handling of satellite-detected anomaly cases and operation of radio communication systems.
  11. Development and maintenance of forest protection related information systems.
